Should I maintain it? Can use atm without renew the debit card? I never pay with bebut before. Atm also didn't use since 2 years ago.

You can apply to renew the card via Maybank2U website and the new card will post to you. I just did that few months ago.

No it's not, the expiry date is for debit function.

P.S: if you do renew be alert to not say yes to the "unlimited atm withdrawal fee"

better to renew, can ask for those limited edition cards with nice pics like football club or superheroes.

Just go to any branch and renew it. The process takes less than 5 minutes and you don't even need to activate it.

Can walk in to certain branches, they got machine to replace your card less than 5 minutes

Alternatively, online and certain branch (KLCC branch?) have those self-help kiosk too.

Got transactions won't be dormant.
Nowadays Maybank also pushing for cardless withdrawal.
Card is a cost they are tyring to get rid of.

need withdrawal transaction, if only got money flow in won't consider. This is what the bank officer told last time la, now not sure.

That's why they will inform user go withdraw RM10 and deposit back again if even didn't plan to withdraw any money within a year.

Doesn't necessarily need cash withdrawal. Transfer works just fine.

Because then ts give bank free money for functions they don't use.

Can get replacement card on the spot

Yes, you can still use the card as ATM card even past the expiry date. Source, I'm using one.

my ATM expired and I didn't ask for a replacement for quite some time.
then this 1 day my account got locked and asked me to go ATM for a identity
verification, so now I need to go counter as I have no ATM to do it my own.
and I now cannot use phone app coz it requires again the ATM verification to continue use.
so in dillema now wan issue ATM or not or totally abandon the app. not my main
account anyway, just salary account.

my current hsbc card is not yet expired. only in 01/2023. but i cannot do withdrawal from atm anymore. it says the card is expired. need to go to branch. apalj
so i use app to transfer to other bank

reminds me of my debit BigPay card
will only expire in 6 months but they no longer allowed to use the card for online purchase
only a renewed card can

is the 6 month thing normal now?

No you don't. Once you activate your card, it only becomes usable. And it was sent via normal mail. Around 1 week after request.

Mine expired since July this year. Was still able to withdraw from ATM 2 nights ago.

The last time I used it, didn't need to sign.

It is sent using registered post, but not the kind that need to sign.

If need to sign, it is actually hassle. I would rather go branch.

ATM self service kiosk is ok if you don't have fingerprint problem.
