I know of several in the IT and banking fields. Even some Singapore ministers have Malaysian origins.

There are a lot of Malaysian holding high post in Singapore.. most of them already got their PR and that really makes a difference. Based on what I understand most of the people can’t distinguish between Singaporean and Malaysian (work wise) and they won’t even take this factor as an account when comes to promotion and climbing corporate ladder.

I would say as a Malaysian working in Singapore, it’s a lot easier compare to other country origin, just ask a few and you’ll know.

Lower, because SG has a deeper talent pool, you compete with Singaporeans, high caliber workers from all over Southeast Asia, expats, and Chinese and Indian nationals.

Possible, two levels above me - both also grew up singing Negaraku one. brows.gif

However, working your way up from zero here does take a while as compared to coming in hot with experience
