Hello all... my graduation ceremony is next month and the dress code for females requires us to wear court shoes. They didn't give us many sample images of the shoes we are allowed to wear and in the pictures that were provided all those shoes have heels, so I am confused about what kind of shoes are considered court shoes. Must they have heels to be considered court shoes or any formal-looking shoes will be okay? The uni didn't elaborate much on that also. They just said don't wear heels that will make you jatuh lol. (Dumb me forgot to ask questions back then)

I attached two images of the best formal-looking shoes I currently have. Would they be considered court shoes? I searched the internet but couldn't find any concise answers. All I know is court shoes are definitely formal shoes that you can wear to court.

All help is appreciated... 🙏

I think generally, any black formal shoes should be fine even for high heels. The reason why the uni staff advise against wearing high heels is that they have seen way too many graduands slipped and fell while walking on stage with high heels. So if you want to be safe and not humiliated on stage, better to wear shoes with no more than 1 inch heels (your picture #2 should be fine)

Oh... I wasn't sure if that design is ok. Thank you so much! I wore that pair often during uni when I had to do presentations, and that pair is still ok la DX
