I feel his pain. Imagine being minority in a masta race company. After your 1 day deepavali, gotta go back to work/class/course.
But when it comes to Hari Raya, it's 1 week holiday for them. 1 week off for them vs 1 day off for you.

I rather support no holidays for any religious celebrations. Increase annual leave so you can apply whenever needed.

Will not happen. MNC all very nice give you replacement for Saturday. And they themselves are used to one whole week off during Christmas. They won't mind one or two extra holidays at all. The cheap wage here is more than make up for it.

You forgot to include Hari Raya Haji which is a public holiday there too.

I think all religion/race holidays should be a week just to be fair to all 😉😁

Another 20 years, CNY also will be 1 day holiday.

Another 20 after that, CNY and Deepavali will be working day.

Later every race also get 2 days, nobody want to do biz here already
