Anyone know the standard price that plumber usually charge to change toilet cistern?

Most sanitaryware shops do provide separate labour services if you buy from them.

There is no standard price as it depends on the scope of work and location. Not all replacement are 'plug and play' if is different brand.

Btw, is it the pump that is faulty ?

Is the cistern damaged somehow ?
Most problem can be fixed by replacing the parts in the cistern.

Water from the tank was dripping. I changed new one myself in one of the bathroom, just didn't get the time to change in 2 other bathrooms due to work. To cut things short, plumber charged RM400 to change the 2x cisterns. Just want to know if this is normal price because for some reason I felt my other half being taken advantage of.

Are you refering to changing the cistetn or pump ?

Again depending from where the plumber is coming if you pick up the contacts from social medias.

The better choice is to find one near to your place, ie the hardware or sanitary shop and I believe it should be cheaper

Yes but if includes parts, then no. Pump can cost as high 100 depending on brands. Mine is 80.

Cheap generic around 20 to 30.

Try google the brand to check prices. If your brand is oredi expensive, then is thereabout. But if is cheaper, say 50, try to nego since is 2 units.
