database link? My friend, you should've been more specific at the beginning. becoz everyone thinks you are getting a "universal serial bus" USB error. database housekeeping usually means the database server is ..... well, doing housekeeping, optimizing itself to reduce lag, increase efficiency and stability, etc. You will not be able to access it while it's doing this. kinda like someone is mopping the floor, and he puts a "cleaning in progress, do not step on floor" sign near him, if you go around and dirty his floor with your dirty shoes, he'll beat you!!! |

Ask your IT department or whoever is responsible for maintaining the database. maybe they are routinely doing housekeeping or maybe there's something wrong with that particular database server recently, hence the frequent housekeeping/maintenance. |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Pls do state whether the database is in your local system or in the network of another system? If its your local system, then it could be some application that is accessing the database on real-time so its blocking any changes/access from other person. If its in the network, pls do contact the data admin. |

QUOTE(WoodStock @ Oct 5 2007, 10:24 AM) Bullshit loh....Already said UBS software, so must be one of the UBS accounting software modules. I assume that the index file or transaction log is corrupted, but I don't do UBS support so cannot tell you how to fix it. Call 1 300 88 7243 and see what the UBS hotline operator say. |
