Why resign before finding a suitable job?

According to her, the manager keep forcing her to do other kind of job since they lay off lot of worker.

So when ask for salary raise, company just say no. So she decided she had enough and resign. Supposedly, got another job waiting but no idea what happen, she just work at a bank now waiting for other interview.

Yes or not that is actual reason, I'm not sure. Simply tell as she told me.
