If we all get a petition together and pass it on to M$ to appeal to them to officially launch the X360 here...will it work? Will it result in cheaper games, hardware and after sales support. The pictures of people queuing up to buy Halo3 at GH and Consoul events are sure to get them thinking. If it was launched in S'pore then why not here........

Commmericially a lot of things need to happen before you can launch a new product/service here, it's not just about "Hey let's start selling the 360 here"

lol. i want to call his bluff too but nvm la, lets wait and see if its true. my contacts in SG and MY from the E&D division (the only microsoft division that matters to the Xbox) have been mum so far about a malaysian launch.

Its interesting to note that the PS2 and PSP is technically an official product locally. Sony Malaysia used to sell them a few years back. Back then, no one bothered to regulate the content of the games and it will be interesting if someone decides to do it if the xbox is launched locally. Remember that there are plenty of PC games that are officially available here as well from official distributors.

Honestly, i think no one gives a damn unless it involves a boatload of money (which there isnt), sex or religion.

As far as I'm concern, the previous news given by him to me last year, that Courts Mammoth is going to sell X360 has became a reality this year. Some of you may remember I did post the courts mammoth "rumors" long time ago somewhere in the forum.

btw, thurtin, this senior sauce of mine is not from E&D dept, he's the GM in one of the many groups in M$.

anyway, from the previous meet with him, as told by him that M$ actually is losing millions (or billions? can't remember.) of USD every year for X360, which they have expected, and it's part of their long term plan to gain more M$ console player. Something about the current gamers (xbox. x360) will support M$ in the future since basically they are growing up with M$

hahaha. am glad that someone remembered it. i did mentioned that it was unconfirmed and told everyone that if it didnt happen, dont come back complaining. was just sharing some privvy info. I guess everyone was angry/upset that it didnt work out. and oh, back then, i named my source.

PS: btw, if you're interested the official wii launch in Malaysia might be going back on track again. but this time, im not gonna share the details. u know la, i spread "rumors" anyways.

if the xbox is even coming at all, its definitely not q3 2008.
