Loan interest lowest by 3.1-3.4% (depends)
N47 2.0L Turbo - 181hp / 380Nm, considered as one of bulletproof engine, pay attention on the condition of timing chain unit, 1 tank can easily reach 850-1000km of mileage..even mine N20 Petrol highest mileage was 940km only (70L tank)

I’m driving e90 320d that is 11 years old. Mod intake and exhaust and bigger Intercooler with a modified turbo from tong

On wheel 203hp with 440nm of torque

Can go further but choose this as the rev to power graf is smooth as budda

Don’t plan to sell it. Other then the mode above, running blistien b8 with eibach lowering spring

Btw this car not meant for weekend only. Sometime keep a few days strange thing happens. Have to trash it daily hahahaha

During mco i drive every 2 days just to make sure all tiptop

So far this car's engine macam quite solid. Mine is at 180k km, no issues at all. We have multiple owners with around 200-250k km and the longest serving one is a doctor's which lasted until close to 500k km mileage before he swapped for another engine for RM9k LOL.

Agreed, it has to be a daily driver. Which intake and exhaust are you using? What did you do with the turbo as well? Bearings? Larger fins?

Yeah...Bimmer diesel really gets my attention...I rather more torque then more hp...even my bike is more to torque then horsepower...
I have heard in facebook bimmer group that they claim actually timing chain fault is due to improper use of engine oil... I not sure correct or not but bloke in the group claim never have timing chain issue on their n47..

Intake using knn drop ins. Exhaust using everco stainless steel 2.5 inci with sflow muffler from turbo onward

Turbo updated fins and bearings. Intake and exhaust size remain the same coz I don’t want to ruin the integrity of the housing

Cukup power for me. Max on dyno was 225hpwith 460 nm of torque but I ask to tone down coz asap berkepul kepul and my injectors macam hitting limit so no point to go further

Happy with the current performance and fuel consumption. Suprising after remap my fuel consumption improve. Was usually 7liter per 100km. Post remap is 5.6l to 100km

Good stuff man, yeah our cars are aging already so to me its all about making it still functional. The only thing I was thinking of doing is to bring it to Autofoam and get it foamed up

Nice. I am just keeping it to a running state really nothing much to do and just enjoy the ride and fuel consumption.

Hopefully will last 20 years

Hey guys, sorry for necro-ing this thread, but I’m looking for a place in PJ that can get me a new downpipe and maybe refurbish or change the turbo on my e90 320d.
I’m looking for a catted downpipe. OEM oso ok and either a new turbo or repair if possible

Every mod got its consequences, a lot of case i heard aftermarket mod did not equal reliability & will need to spend a lot of money to remap/reprogram.

If you got a lot of money and want more power, you should ask for M Performance power kit package. BMW got sell this performance package 1 set with performance ECU, intercooler, high performance fan everything in one set. By giving your chasis no. to BMW authorized spare part shop like Bavarian Auto, Stuggard they can help special order this kit from German specific for your car.

For turbo go to HIS AUTO (M) SDN BHD at Sepang to fix, if you know your turbo model and mechanic know how to fix turbo can just buy service kit, middle housing, turbo parts from shoppee/lazada/taobao
