I'm still using Mi10T as daily driver, skipped mi11t series because it was not worth with the upgrade. Based on my testing, mi12t haptic feedback is not that good/premium (at least not up to my expectation). It slightly above mi11t and lower than mi12 lite. Other than that, I'm quite satisfied with the spec.

Probably i will just go with the non pro variant. SD 8+ Gen 1 is good, but I don't really need that powerhouse for my usage.

premium haptic feedback is the feeling when you unlock and type on the iphone. it is strong yet subtle. I do agree that for most people they don't really care or noticed about this. But for me, it is really important.
IIRC, someone mentioned that it is the custom tweaked version of the existing D8100 for xiaomi.

imo 12gb is for "heavy users" or futureproofing. Especially for heavy skin like MIUI, the chinese version seems like very demanding on resource that the reasons chinese market prefer more ram like at least 12gb or even 16gb

but for global market, 12+256 and 8+256 is depending on whether you game latest or big titles like GenSh** or something and want to run alongside other apps like chat apps, then 12gb version will be more suitable for heavy users/gamer than 8gb version. if you don't game, 8gb still fine for regular daily usage

Yeah there should be no difference in "initial" camera shots, as the phone screen cannot display the difference. Difference is only more obvious if you crop in with zoom view, that also requires a good light. If light is not enough, zoom in get blur view.

The disadvantages of 12t pro are two, is front camera can only do 1080p and back ultra wide angle camera has only 8mp.

I'm using 12T non pro now. Everything is up to my expectations especially the battery life. I don't game, so can't comment on that
Been using MIUI since Redmi Note 5, i think MIUI is mature and optimized enough especially on MIUI 12.5 onwards.
Since Mi9T and Mi10T, i never applied tempered glass or screen protector. Only use case to prevent dent and scratch. Anything from Gorilla Glass 5 should survive daily scratches, at least with my usage

Dropped many times especially when the kids were holding the phones. I'm using xundd case and it provide very good protection.

No, i taken out the pre-applied PET let the screen naked. Yes, the keys are pretty good in doing scratch, and there were few hairlines scratches on the screen but i barely noticed it.

Cannot. Only poco phone can. For 12t can only tap to wake or off at lock screen

Anyone using 12t Pro can comment on the battery life? I'm heavy email and gaming user. My phone is rarely not being used so screen time is high.

Yeah I agree with this. My phone drop 1% overnight with the same apps as my previous phone that usually drop 3 to 4% when it was new. Better standby time couple with its fast charging (even when not using the heavy 120w charger) this phone is really good.

Smooth n cool most of the time, able to run genshin in high settings smoothly. This new processor is really good.

My main concern is xiaomi hardware reliability after 1 or 2 years. You know la, usually have some hardware failure after some time which I have experience before with 2 other mi phones.

Since it has 2 yrs warranty I hope it means they are more confident about their hardware reliability.

Regarding miui 13, I have no ads and have gotten used to it. Its not that bad and I foresee it can become as good as Samsung 1 ui in the future.

Yeah with data, WiFi, bt, GPS turn on. I have always have these turned on for all my phones for many years already.

Maybe you have a lot of notifications from socmed or messaging app coming in throughout the night?

Edit: Double tap to sleep/lock on home screen is what they meant. Miui 13 is only on lockscreen. I also miss this feature unless u use 3rd party home app like Nova.

1. I am now at 130gb. This is storage and should not make your battery consumption high
2. Notification i disable according to app. Some i don't want its notification i will disable
3. If you get a lot of notification like 6xx jut for whatsapp your phone will not have time to sleep properly and hence higher battery drainage. For me that is a lot.
4. Power button can be remap to turn off screen instead of google assist. Settings > Additional Settings > Gesture shortcuts > Launch google assistant - turn it off
5. I use Chrome so not sure about stock browser.
