I was with my-ex 10 years. Suddenly he dumped me and missing. I have helped him a lot when together. Thereafter his lawyer requested me to return him the expensive items he has given me. As a matter of principal he shall honour what he has given. he is from very wealthy family. I have pawned the items to treat illness depression after the traumatised. I engaged lawyer to solve the issue endup I was being cheated by the lawyer. Something happened behind the scene I was unaware of. No authority can help to free me from their pressuring to return the items. I left with nothing in life. What can I do?

it sounds like you have been threatened or harassed to 'return' the items that belong to you. In law, it doesn't make sense but you might need to engage a proper lawyer for advice instead.

I find very illogical. After your ex-bf decided to give the gifts to you, he actually don't own the gifts anymore. What legal right he has to ask it back from you?

How to proof he still owns the gifts or the gifts belonged to him?

When the lawyer send the demand, under which Act did the lawyer quoted?

what are the gifts? are they things with "registered owners" like a property/car? because by law he still owns the items if on paper it's under his name.

no contract attached to the items given as gift . no obligation to return . can just waive off unless there is a contract somewhere to inform you that there is obligation to return when end of service. haha

What horseshit. If these items have been gifted to you, on what legal grounds does the lawyer have to demand their return?

Unless item yg ada geran lah, and they're under his name i.e. house, car.

Wealthy people don't go around asking for things back, unless you did something to him. Dumped you, and asked for things back? Indeed very weird. The story is incomplete.
