technically u have to buy each app online, and its expensive. but it would seem according to LanEvo7, pdaexpert is offering the pirated versions of these stuff. not sure the versions are up to date or not.

u can also go any shop that sells pirated Pc games shud be able to find also. but again, u'll never find the latest stuff

heya fellas,
i don't think it's such a good idea to discuss pirated softwares here. Dunno who may be reading. Plus, giving pda expert d label of 'pirated software vendor' may not be in their best interest as well.

Can get them into a lot of trouble.

*
it is alright so long as we stated those are commercial software. at the least, we have never disclose where and how to get them *FOC*. it's a norm that ppl know most computer CD shops sell pirated CDs. as for the pda expert labelling, yeah, i agreed we should stop hinting them as pirated pda software provider (if we do).

Kerazul: you remember my niggle about the first name sort in Contact?
i solved it. It seems that you need to change the File as in outlook to your specific way ( first last instead of last, first) which will then be sorted out correctly in the contacts in the PPC.

now if only there is a better contact software out there...
*
i always put name as one whole string under "first", the "last" is a total crap, for me. the "file as" is not amendable and always follow "first + last".

there're many contact software i the market such as contact pro where full contact image can be flooded on your screen upon incoming call, and a few more iPhone-alike FOC software. personally, i still prefer the build-in contacts tool, 3rd party's seem to have slower response although there are many add-ons.

Guys, do u know any nice camera apps that can improve the quality of the camera, afaik, all pda`s camera sucks big time, be it 2mp or higher
*
isn't it hardware-dependant? but i do come across some ppl use register tweaking such as "Framerate", "BitRate" to imrpove the camera/recording quality. end to end, it still boils down to the max quality of the hardware.

Soli, pda noob here  blush.gif

where do u install all the programs ? In its RAM or ROM or Expension Card ?

TQ
*
RAM = Random Access Memory, the memory power you need to execute a program, the more you have, the faster the execution time. hence, you cannot install your program here.

ROM = build-in memory to store factory-defaulted programs, just like your personal computer's BIOS. it is also being used to store operating system such as WM5/WM6, after all, you will still have some left over spaces to install other programs (usually very limited). program execute from ROM is faster than storage card.

Expansion Card = a.k.a storage card/memory card, most programs installation goes here. you should, always trying to install new program in storage card, unless, you have plenty of ROM spaces (e.g. O2 Life) or the program force you to install into ROM.

hth.

A PDA wif 128MB ROM & 64MB RAM on WM5 issit ok ?
*
if you ask me, i would never say ok if given a choice. but hey, that's what most pda phones gotta offer for us. we can't do much about it...

no one have a software to use make any audio as a ringtone?
*
thought this question has been asked many times?
anyway, for ringtone, put your mp3 files in the root directory of your sd card, "my document" folder or \windows\rings folder. for sms tone, you need to use .wav file, location is the same. there are commercial software that able to use mp3 as the sms tone, an example: photo contacts pro:

Thnks, mate. Are U using this software? Is it any good? Looking at the forum, there seems to be a bit of problems faced by users.
*
nope. have not use it before. though, i do use photo contacts pro before, but find it a little lagging, so ended up not using any software for customised ring/sms tones.

Anybody knows software for SMS that will automatically resend back the SMS if it unseccessful to send. icon_question.gif
*
is there such software? if the sms is unsuccessful, you should get a notification on your pda screen straight away. if the server failed to send to the receiver, there's no way for your pda software to check the status unless the telco had established a communication link between your pda software and their server. i'm rather curious why do you want the same message to be re-sent to you if unsuccessful?
