I sent an handphone via GDex to penang by last saturday (29.9.2007) but until now the buyer still haven't receive the parcel yet, i call to the GDex sungei besi branch on this tuesday but the staff said need to track the parcel first. Then, wednesday i called again to ask and the staff said pending at penang branch, i called to them several times a day to ask the progressing but the result still same, they only answer me still tracking.

Today morning, one of the staff called me and told me most probably the parcel lost already and blame me why didn't told her inside the parcel is handphone, so they can pay more attention on it then i asked the staff " as a professional courier service company, they should take care on every parcels, right?" The staff laugh and said sometimes depend on luck also. sweat.gif

Then, just now the buyer wants me to pay him back full amount and assume me don't have send the item. And the buyer said is my fault because i choose wrong courier service company doh.gif and he can't reach the GDex helpline just now but he keep on ask me why, the staff don't have answer his call also my fault? And the buyer also threaten me that want to start a new thread at tradezone helpdesk and claim this is con case, i already sent the item, this also consider con case? At last, he said give me couples of days, if the parcel haven't reach his hand yet, then he want full refund and will check with his lawyer regarding this case wink.gif

I called to the HQ helpline just now but the receptionist ask me call another helpdesk line, they just push me to here and there.

The main points for this thread are...

1. Can i claim compensation from GDex if the parcel really lost?

2. I received the payment and sent the item via GDex, now GDex lost the parcel and still tracking the parcel, this also consider con case?

Comments and Solutions are welcome, thanks

Well, if the buyer assumed that you have con him/her why not display the proof that u have made the delivery..
I heard that you can compensate an amount which I am not much clear coz I never encounter this situation before.
And, if they don't wanted to responsible for their clumsy act, just bring this matter to the court. For sure they would agree to settle down outside court.

Cheers

I already pass the tracking number to him and he called to GDex customer service before and confirm the parcel but lost, i also ask the GDex staff to call him to confirm as well but don't know why he still can assume me. i explained to him nicely what we can do only waiting for GDex news, no point he is threaten me this or that. wink.gif I also understand his situation, now i hope the GDex can work hard on it, tomorrow morning have to call again to rush them, really had a bad experience with GDex

I thought GDex is one of the most popular courier service around?

Tell them there is handphone so they can be more responsible? Next time you send any cheap stuff, just tell them it is handphone.. Pray they lost it and claim compensation? =)

As I knw, can claim compensation from GDex, but not over dunno how many $$ only(If din remember wrong at most RM 200 if u din buy insuran, correct me if I'm wrong). If u scare the parcel will lost, they suggest u buy insurans. Last time I scare the parcel I courier will lost so I buy insurans, the parcel almost 1kg then cost me RM 28+ including the insurans fee. BTW, the parcel worth how much? Hope the buyer can get the parcel soon... Good Luck... ^^

GDex has never failed me
heck thing total worth of hardwares i send out this year a long nearly 20-30k using them..

but i always take insurance...

so u should have done that.

i usually inform my buyer that i will bear the insurance cost..

and for sellers if i want i will tell them i want the insurance as well

My friend worked in Gdex before, the management in this company is just so suck ass. All the higher authority would just push the balls around if anything happen.

Bottom line, management issue.

hm...sad case. As the shipper, you can submit claim. I just had a case with GDex today.. I sent a Washing Machine from Melaka to Dungun yesterday.
Today when arrive, the GDex agent in dungun call my mom asking her to come and pickup from office because my mom's area is not in their service.

called supervisor and GDex dungun also no result, same answer " we cannot deliver or would not deliver because is out of service area"

So i complaint that they should have notified me before accepting the parcel.

She said, "its melaka's GDex fault. we already informed HQ"

so, I went on calling GDex HQ, talked to GDEX Complaint (one lady name Ain). telling all the hassle and problem. If cannot deliver, say so lah, I could have find other delivery service.

2-3hours later, she called and informed that GDex HQ will arrange transport to send from GDex dungun to my mom's house. Thanks God!

my first bad experience with GDex, previously no problem at all.

keep on pushing at the complaint department! good luck!

did u shout on the phone? coz if u talk like a gentleman, they'll tend to forget your report..

and lastly.. face to face is better than phone calls..
at least they remember ur face if u shout at them..

so, it's better u show up at their office.. if u r free enough to do so..
