15 pro max ordered at 12.07am on the 22nd of Sept on Apple website, estimated arrival is 11th-18th of Oct. Till now, it is still under processing. Anyone with the same issue?
*
15 Pro Max 512GB Natural Titanium. Received email 12:05am, also 11-18 Oct. Processing and waiting too. Current shipped are those with 3-5 Oct delivery timeline. I suspect 5-10 Oct will ship out this week, and 11-18 Oct will ship next week.

Issue is now resolved. Issue still persisted with iOS 17.0.3 - but with the new instagram update 303.3, it has been resolved.

Now i starting to get back the old issue of seeing caller to my wife iphone as we are sharing the same Apple ID.. Already Off all the related setting & solved when it happened last yr..  haih..
*
You need to separate Apple ID soon, and create Family account. I separated mine with my wife since we subscribed to Apple Music, it became difficult coz only 1 device can stream at one time. With wife’s account and family group created, all problems resolved. All apps already installed are not affected since family account.

Status updated but arrive date also been adjusted. Now only they ship out from China. Bad PO experience with Apple.
*
Yours was originally due to arrive latest on 11 Oct? I guess current orders will now ship from China, rather than Singapore. Also, I am guessing that it would arrive by 10 or 11 as shipment won’t take that long especially if DHL

No update since September 22nd 😆

Most likely our batch would arrive on the tail end of the estimate, rather than early. Probably it'll be like the 2nd batch, Thursday 12 Oct will have movement in the status, should arrive in our hands between 16-18 Oct.

QUOTE(ery22 @ Oct 10 2023, 02:06 PM)
Hi all, what are the disadvantages of buying the iPhone 15 PM from telcos like Maxis? It should still have warranty by Apple  and can go to service centres like Machines, etc?....and can also buy the Apple Care Protection Plan right? Thanks
*
Apple Care Protection Plan - if from Apple, there is no such plan in Malaysia (yet). Maybe next year when there is an actual Apple Store at TRX. If Machines Protection Plan, you can only purchase it if you bought your phone from Machines.

Downside - if you do not pay your telco bills, your phone will be blocked. Even if you change sims to other telco, you can’t circumvent the block. In fact, they don’t release this hold even if you finish paying the phone, if you manage to not pay your bill 4 years in the future, they can block your phone…

Thanks for the clarification that iPhone doesn't have Apple Care PP. I'm planning to buy my 1st iPhone...lol...sorry for noob question
*
No worries bro. Standard apple warranty still apply for the first year. For phones by telco, even android will be blocked if don’t pay, not necessarily apple phones. Most will not have issue la.

Based on your timeline, looks like that
1) Your text will update one day before the (old) date range given that's the nearest.
2) "2 days" after you got an updated text, it's preparing to ship
3) Same day itself, shipped.

Which means mine (10/10 - 17/10) would be something like
1) Today or tomorrow mine will update text as well. As per writing this, text is still the same cry.gif
2) Since I've called Apple before, internally they have changed to (11/10 - 18/10), means that mine will be preparing to ship on around Wed Thurs (11 or 12th).
3) And on the 11th or 12th, it will be shipped out.

Fingers crossed for those in the "10/10-17/10" batch. Hope for some movement this week.
*
I’m guessing ours will have some movement tomorrow - will change the status 11 Oct and arrive in Malaysia 14 Oct. Will be in Customs limbo until 15 Oct and arrive in our hands 17-18 Oct.

According to Stitchie’s situation, his original expected delivery period was 5th to 12th, but internally apple altered and registered it as 6th to 13th, was only shipped from Shenzhen on the 6th.

Then for mine, which is shown as 11th to 18th (apple’s system is 12th to 19th), should only be shipped out on the 12th? 🤔
*
According to Stichie’s post, his estimated timeline was originally 5-10 Oct. Ultimately, his unit was shipped on 6 Oct and arrived in his hands on 10 Oct.

QUOTE(hotmission @ Oct 10 2023, 04:02 PM)
for telco set (maxis, 24 months), if we completed the contract without issues, can we change sim or sell the phone like any other phones? (for upgrade purpose)
*
Can change sim no problem even during contract. But if you don’t pay your bills, your phone will be imei locked - you can’t use your phone.

I read that even if you finished paying your phone (after 24 months), if you are still on the telco and don’t pay your bills, your phone might still get locked.

This is usually what happens, people be on Maxis zerolution, sell the phone to others, and don’t pay the bills. The buyer will get an unusable phone… hence why zerolution phones are undesirable

QUOTE(dikae @ Oct 10 2023, 06:06 PM)
Only on zerolution, if yours is normal contract, device fully paid, telco has no rights to lock your phone despite not paying bills, as long as your device is fully paid if you don’t pay your bills, they can only bar or suspend your number. I have clarified this a few times in the past, hence when you sell your device, you need to show that the device is fully paid, that’s the difference between normal contract vs device installment i.e zerolution.
*
I dunno if that only applies for Maxis, but for Celcom my colleague is on Celcom and he bought the iPhone 14 last year on Device Contract. He paid his bills normally but suddenly has the no service error. When Celcom and Digi merged, they had a problem with something and his device was tagged as non-payment account thus imei locked. He had to call the call centre, call centre say not locked coz account was not barred. It was only solved when he personnaly went to bluecube centre and they found that his account was incorrectly tagged. They unlocked his imei and service was back.

So no, i can say for certain, if you don’t pay, they can lock your imei, even if you are on normal device contract
