15PM looks better than 14PM in the drain test.

Last year people complaining 14PM overheat, this year complain 15PM overheat, let's see if 16PM if there's complain again haha

I have a sneaky feeling the heat issue is from iOS 17.. my 12 mini feels warmer than usual when connecting to CarPlay after the update....

I upgraded to iOS 17.1 Beta 1 to see whether there's any improvement to the battery drain

Don't simply try it because you cant downgrade back to 17.0.2

No overheating so far😊

this is the prob i encountered with third party brand charging cables also.

plug in it will charge, then stop, need to turn the charging head of the cable to make it charge again. or worst sometime it just continues not to charge.

then sometime using this charger the cable has this prob, but use another charger may not have prob. but after a while, same prob again...

yesterday night when I tried to charge using Aukey

I have some problem ..like the charging will stop and continue immediately .. happens every few minutes

then after I switch to Apple's cable from the box no such issue

I will try again using Aukey and see if this abnormal behaviour happens again

the 1st time I charge using Aukey's cable I didn't have this problem

interesting, my 13 Pro Max was at 78% after 2 years despite only charging once a day (at night). probably because i let it run down all the way to <10% everyday.

My ip14 a year old is at 87% now. Aging so fast 😭

Me too, never buy 3rd party accessories aside from casing. All my charger adapters and cable are using Apple’s. Hoping my incoming iP15P will be better. But judging from what you guys are sharing regarding the battery. Sigh, 😮‍💨 IDK leh.

I am using wireless, no problem with Carplay

My three years old 12PM’s camera lenses are still intact until today, no scratches or anything. Camera feature is the most important thing on my iPhone and I will not do anything to affect the image quality.

So, those lenses protection is not needed and may bring more cons than pros.

Tried wired CarPlay with third part type c cable with C to type A adapter. Working fine . Cable is usb3 though.
