Basically iPhones receive at least 5 years of iOS features and 7 years of security updates e.g. iPhone 6s released in 2015 with iOS 9, and it could upgrade until iOS 15 (7 years). Last update of iOS 15 was in September 2023 - so basically 8 years of security updates now.

Although like statikinetic mentioned, banking industry has enforced the minimum iOS/Android firmware level. So be sure to upgrade before they make your app obsolete.

2. Can only choose 1 data line at one time. Can't do load balancing + both data lines active. E.g. Set Celcom 5G as primary data line, and have Maxis 5G as secondary data line. Maxis will takeover when Celcom data goes down - will take some time to swtichover though.

Phone lines will be active for both, including WiFi Calling (VoWIFI). iPhones are on Dual SIM Dual Standby (DSDS) technology, which means can only make/receive 1 active call at one time.

Celcom/Digi can confirm that RM10 is not included in the RM128/120 bill. It will be RM128+RM10 or RM120+RM10 as you rightly showed. Celcom and Digi sucks this year.

iPhone 12 (all versions) can't run dual e-sim. Can only do dual sim with nano+esim. Starting from iPhone 13 does it support dual esim.

I'm on plan Celcom Mega 80 - I don't pay the RM10 for 5G nor the RM10 for 60/90GB extra data. I also have 5G - not sure if this is because I'm a 5 year old customer, or all old account with them will receive this.

Old Mega 80 plan - I don’t think available anymore. Looks like lowest plan is now 98 Total data given is 40GB+10GB+60GB (110GB). I could subscribe the extra RM10 for an additional 60GB (not 90GB as other plans).

I bought apple direct since the current plans are more expensive for me in total, even with discounts. I was expecting Celcom to offer Plan 98 + Normal contract, so I lost quite a bit of time to that. If I had directly bought from Apple Store, could've had a faster delivery date, rather than the current 11-18 Oct timeline

Looks like 3-5 Oct batch is preparing to ship. 10-18 Oct need to wait until next week to ship

Maybe tomorrow will change status to preparing for shipping!

Which telco are you using? As far as I know Malaysian telco all disable this easy transfer esim for security reasons. I much prefer easier transfer than restrictions

Not sure if it’s the same now, but last time I changed phones, I still get the 3 free months trial - my current subscription gets discounted during the 3 months.

I am seeing the delivery lead times dropping from the Apple Store too. Previously if you order now, the phone will only arrive 3rd week of November, but now you can get it end of this month/early next month
