I know this is an old thread but if you are focusing more on handling and performance, driving more like an F1 driver than a sedate uncle, than Goodyear Triplemax 2 will be better. If you want a more comfortable and quiet drive, the Toyo CR1 will be better.

I have used Triplemax 2 before and am now on CR1.

CR1 confirmed comfortable and quiet. On straight road dry and wet grip are good since the rubber is soft. Only disadvantage is you can't do cornering like an F1 driver as the car will wobble a bit due to soft side wall. For majority of drivers it won't be an issue.

The biggest advantage is the low price as it is cheapest compared to most popular brands which cost average RM50-100 more per piece. In summary, if you are the type of family guy who observes speed limit and cruising along at average speeds with comfort and low noise being top priorities, and you want cheap then the CR1 fits the criteria. If you frequently drive like an f1 driver then it won't be suitable due to reduced high speed cornering performance. However on straight road cruising moderate to high speed and grip it is fine.

For my low standards ATM2 is considered F1 already. Not up to your standards. 😅
