Im currently searching for cheap cheap motorcycle for commuting to college back and forth. Secondhand also can. As long as the price is around RM2-4k.

Im eyeing on EX5, Wave 100 for now. But need better recommendation which including cheap maintenance, and price.

If want scooter avantiz or solaris quite ok. Basically both same bike.
Other to consider lagenda or modenas bike.

How is the scooter maintenance and reliability compared to kapcai one? Planned to use max for at least 2 years before sell it back.

Good recommendation but the max speed is only 25kmh. The road that I will commute is quite busy.

Aveta Ranger 110. Other than the horrid front brakes, it is robust and reliable. The twin spar tubular frame on it is far stronger than normal kapchais. My friends go offroad on with with knobbies.
about 3k new if you can find discounts.

Forget the Kriss, Aveta Ranger is pretty solid but you might want to look into getting better front brakes.

There's a low mileage Honda Wave 100 going for 3k around my area if you're interested

Automatic bike/scooter going to be pricy so skip them unless you got skill issue

My father's 20+ years old kriss is still going strong even after the bike got into multiple accidents

The bikes based on Kawi Kazes are still fine, the Chinese ones are generally shit at everything

Maybe you are right. However, i owned 2 different old version of Kriss 100 both are in good condition. Hence, the latest Kriss im not sure of it.

Electronics failure, using the brakes will actually cause your signal lights to go haywire, owners complaining about broken exhausts after a year or two, unstable as fuck, questionable reliability (its a zongsheng whaddaya expect) yada yada yada

Thats why the older ones that were co developed with Kawasaki are way better
