My other half and I have been together for more than a decade, not married/registered but committed and happy.
We are both working outstation (Sarawak) and we don't really have close friends at the state (other than working colleagues).

If we decided to register for marriage without our family or friends knowledge (no friends in Sarawak anyway), is it possible to do so at external registrar like the Chinese Chamber of Commerce? Would there be someone from the association that would be able to bear witness to the registration?
