Why got stitches? I thought just cut the tip to make it shorter?

I spent some time researching. Turns out circumcision is not just cut the foreskin to make it shorter. It's surgery, gotta stitch the foreskin to the shaft. After surgery can see the stitched part up and down different colour. Looks a bit funny also like the pic below. Head one colour, above stitch one colour, below stitch different colour.

School never teach all this. Just teach potong buang and all kids laugh. CCB education.
