It is ok to add in distilled water for loss coolant due to evaporation.

It won't do any harm provided you replace the coolant probably after 3-5 years.

Yes, cooling system is very important, once rusted it would be hard to repair

Yes, 2 different process, but the end product is 99.9% pure water which is good enough for application demanding for either.

Next, do not assume battery water (that you can buy in market) as distilled water. The genuine ones added electrolyte (ie.mild acidic).

Only the fake ones are RO/distilled water. 20cents a liter, pour it into a bottle with nozzle can sell RM2.50

true, RO and distilled good enough for coolant usage.

malaysian consumer just refer "battery water" as distilled/deionized water.

I was being charged RM80 for radiator cap, is it normal? I brought my own parts, replacing all the hose, waterpump and thermostat, charged RM300 for labour alone. I know I was overcharged, but what to do ? Already questioned the workshop boss earlier, he insisted high quality so it's expensive. Can someone advise what's range of expensive radiator cap ?

What car and what brand he change for u? Can just search on shopee. Workshop of course will jack up price abit. Workmanship i think it depends on what kind of car. If replace hose, water pump then he have to add in coolant etc. Some car parts are harder to replace too.

Shop nowadays many thing is expensive , since they have no part sell you to earn margin they can only charge you more labour charges

Nowadays you need to learn how to diy, many sell parts over online also hard to tell fake or original even price like original also hard to tell is 100% original , can only tell if stock camber is accurate during alignment, the welding thickness, the rubber smell etc way to identify, the best way still visiting official website check for authorized seller.

Then reliable tools set 1/2 or 3/8

RM300 usually the cost of replacing the radiator top and bottom plastic cover that is cracked. If the RM300 is just for labour, that is very high.

Unless the mechanic did the radiator cover replacement and did not tell you about it? You can check if they did that if the radiator cover is very clean and new.

My old corolla that has japanese radiator car cost RM25 that i bought myself from parts store in Puchong.

No, I replaced all the rubber piping on top and the metal piping that comes with thermostat at the lower part. Labour cost alone is rm300
