Hi all,

So I went to the interview for government agency on early September.
Now I wonder how long does it take for me to find out the result? It's been 18 days since the interview.

For private company for sure I fail my interview if I don't get the response from the company in 2-3 weeks.
But has anyone ever had experience to go to government interview? How long does it usually take?

I log in to the application system and it always says "Your application is being processed".

I want to call them but scared to find out the result because I really want this.

This is one misconception. Big MNCs/Finance institutions etc sometimes take longer to get back to you even if you are the 1st choice. Normally its how urgent they have to fill up the role too.

For gov agencies, I've also seen friends that only managed to get a response after 1 month that they are hired after a month.

Your 18 days - there's also weekends/public holidays etc to be taken into account and they might have other candidates to screen through too.

It's been 40 days and I still haven't gotten the result.
I e-mailed them but no response.
Perhaps I need to give up and consider my application unsuccessful.

UPDATE:

I already email the HR last week to enquire regarding my interview result, but they didn't reply.
Perhaps I should just give up?

Apparently they sent me an email to verify my bankruptcy by going to insolvency website.
I'm hoping for good news soon. It's been 3 months since the interview.

Permanent.
Need to work 1-3 years and after that they will confirm my status as permanent.

Through university online.
I'm lucky because my whatsapp group always forwarded any job opening.
Always keep your eye on the opening.
