Hello, I've been drinking some green tea lately and was looking for some experienced folks to share their knowledge.

I've been trying out the cheaper varieties just to get a feel of what I like but honestly, when buying online everything also highly rated. All the cheap ones got second time purchases all. So I tried la, not worth even the cheap price.

I've tried sencha, tin guan yin, jasmine, hojicha and still got aged white tea not opened yet. Once all that finish, I wanna try something else mb something mid range.

Any brands y'all go for here? I'm only going for leaves not satchels.

I can recommend a few for Japanese tea

Matcha Hero Kyoto (not sure if they have online shop, but if you message them in instagram, i think they can send)
Chabashira (no online shop also, but got cafes and their teas legit good)
HojichaYa Teas (Online shop only, got small small sample packs if want to try)
Tanah dan Air (Mainly chinese teas, very chill place to visit and chat while drinking tea)

I've tried hojicha from hojichaya. Wasn't really a fan, kinda mediocre. Leaves doesn't even brew up to 4 times as claimed.

I'll look into the rest. Thanks for the suggestions.

What was your take on hojichaya?

I thought it was quite good, although I do like my teas mostly in cold brews.

I rarely drink my tea hot (cos lazy brows.gif ), but in my experience, they're fine for max 3 quick brews. thumbsup.gif

So far their basic hojicha is my daily cold brew, and occasionally if feeling bougie, chabashira's shiawasecha (genmaicha basically, but with more stuff) thumbsup.gif

that said, let me know what u think of the other places once u tried them!
