Hi all, i have this problem with this control part.

Initially it was a water storage in the ceiling but it was changed to a normal water heater. Is there anyway to seal it? The last tenant did some modification so there is no hand shower, only the head shower. Hence, the control part is not used at all.

What is the best option? Contractor quoted almost RM300 just for the stand part. Apparently the whole thing must be changed but based on shopee it seems like that valve part is also sold individually.

Unless you are familiar with the replacement parts, what looks similar may not necessary fit.

I suggest you dismantle the set and take the damaged parts to the hardware shop and check whether is sold separately. Then you decide whether to buy from him or online.

If you dont know diy, your other option is to pay the plumber.

A bit difficult for me to dismantle the whole thing because I also need to check the tenant's timing. How much would you think the item with shower head cost? I was quoted Rm300 without labour.

It's a livinox andora model but I could not find anything relevant by google search about the spare part (valve or shower set)

The components of the rain shower set are usually unique to their own brand / supplier. Hence u should check back with the instant water heater brand if u can just purchase the spart part u need (in your case it is the rain shower diverter).

If u can't get the parts u need from the instant water heater brand, then u have to purchase a new (whole) rain shower set. There are usually 2 kinds,
1. standalone rain shower set - meant to be used with hidden / storage water heater, it has larger nozzles with higher water flow. Usually doesn't come with separate shower handset.
2. instant water heater rain shower set - meant to be used with instant water heater, has a separate shower handset.

Since you are using an instant water heater, u should get the option 2 kind. Here is one example - https://shopee.com.my/CENTON-Stainless-Stee...6452.4000775317

Thanks will look at that options. At the moment i am thinking of removing the diverter and connecting it directly to the pole since the unit doesn't have a hand shower now.

rm300 just for the broken part or the whole set? if only the broken part then it's very expensive, as i think rm300 can get the whole rain shower set already

normally you can just get the part from the manufacturer. i always buy parts from panasonic directly, their price is cheap and can almost get any individual part unless it's too old model.

Rm300 for the whole set. Yes, already checked with the manufacturer and they have the part but i also got another one from the hardware shop.

My plan is to remove the diverter since there is no hand shower now. If that does not work, i will try with the diverter from the hardware shop.

Last option is to get from the manufacturer directly since it's a bit far from my place.
