How does the Smart Key or Keyless Fob function with the Honda ADV 150?
NOTE: If you press and hold the "Key" 🔑 symbol on the Key Fob you can LOCK/UNLOCK the ignition switch. If you LOCK the ignition the proximity feature is disengaged. Meaning, in order to turn the ignition lever you must UNLOCK it by pressing down (and holding) the "Key" 🔑 symbol until you see the green light illuminate. A RED light indicates the ignition is LOCKED and will not respond to the proximity feature. The GREEN light indicates you can use the proximity feature.
PROXIMITY FEATURE:
This is ideal for quick access when you make a trip to a store and won't be away from the bike too long. Or if you park the bike and ride it often. It's a nice feature, you just have to be carful understanding how it works and NEVER keep your Key Fob with the bike. ALWAYS keep it on your person or away from the bike when not using it. (my video explains why)
LOCKING IGNITION SWITCH:
This is a more secure measure and it disables the use of the proximity feature and is the preferred practice when storing the bike or not riding it for a while. Or when you are parked where there's a lot of people and you might be walking around close to your bike so you don't make a mistake and come within the range of the proximity feature so someone could gain access to the bike. When in doubt, LOCK the ignition using the Key Fob until it blinks RED.
2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10... means PCX is better than ADV for you.
11... see number 1. maybe something u need to disable for the keyfob.
Maybe I'm wrong because the keyfob only for US model, not other regions.
12, 13 - seat problems not suitable for you.
Some ppl only one foot down, not both. You're tall doesn't mean all bikes can do both feet down. We all learn do one foot down one day or another. Sliding off the seat is bad for me. I'd prefer a sticky seat.
