I am on the market to buy a house and found two units, one is directly opposite a TNB sub-station and one has a kolam takungan banjir at the back. What are the cons of having those near the house? Will the kolam takungan banjir over flow and lead to flood? Not sure how they work.

Another question, if the house is expected to be completed in 2025, when do we start paying the housing loan installment? I understand that this depends on when will the bank disburse the money to the developer, but when is this exactly? After the house is completed or few months after I signed the housing loan ie. I need to start servicing the loan for 2 years+ without the house ready.

tnb .... radiation and explosion (fire)

kolam ... mosquitoes, smell, illegal waste disposal and overflow due to non-stop heavy downpour.

Normally, bank will required borrower to start paying instalment upon VP or 2 or 3 years after SnP date irrespective whether the property is completed or otherwise to complete the loan tenure.

Sub-station: risk of EMF - may affect health, and your house value in future

Pond: may affect fengshui (stagnant pond, dirty water - all of which not within your control), this also may affect house value. Also, will it stink?
