Bad peering to Hetzner?

Hi all, just noticed something peculiar with my dedi hosted in Hetzner, recently my peering speeds has been extra bad lately, before this it worked well enough to download speed at my maximum connection speed. Has there been any issues with TM or something? If I remember correctly there was one instance like 2-3 days ago that disconnected my connection without my ONU unit failing with red light. Wonder if that error had something to do with bad peering. Before the bad speed/peering issue, I can get a decent 2mb-3mb(not consistent but it's serviceable), now I struggle to get even 500kbps, it fluctuates from 1-10kbps to 200-300kbps. I do know that TM has had issues to international services since COVID started but it looks like it has been getting consistently worst recently. Also I'm running dual stack IPv4 + IPv6 on my Archer C6, and I have also gotten an issue where I'd get "Poor service" and from googling it looks like TM's IPv6 has been causing issues as well..

TM man you can try after 2am till 8am the speed will back normally. after 8am sometime might be normal or worst like peak hours situation. another way is using ovh sg server forward your connection from hetzner should be no problem in anytime, since TM have direct peering with them.

It do be like that sometimes. You just proxy through cloudflare for those servers with bad routes.

I assume with that you mean piping my hetzner connection through an OVH VPS?

I have been thinking about doing this, is there any like proper guides on how to properly do this? As my original plan was taking advantage of CloudFlare's CDN to my server, but still a begineer to all of this so

Of all European hosting servers you choose Hetzner? Bad choice. It's well known the network has very bad connectivity with the Asian region with very little peering with providers over here. You're better off choosing 1&1 IONOS, OVH, Digital Ocean, Leaseweb or Vultr for that region.

Auction server costing only 35euros, for a 4c/8t + 64G + 8TB of storage, I use it for offsite media torrenting box/storage, no point going with more expensive hosting providers if I'm not gonna utilize like 10% of their offered performance for a way higher price. If they can throttle content which have no interests related to their own products they will MOST likely play the same dirty trick on other competitors sharing their wholesale network. Very dishonest company if you ask me.

If they continue throttling competing content providers or other networks in long run their network will be crippled because of their shortsightedness of practicing anti competition against their competition by playing dirty tricks. Their own subscribers will suffer greatly during peak hours and more will leave their network losing their customers.

Very dishonest company if you ask me. if they dont throttle it will effect their hosting services and cooperate client connectivity, cos TM itself insufficient international links if you look at their BGP map and most of time is sharing use in between unlike other ISP they have redundancy on their international links look at current unifi subscriber are getting more then the past and normal user mostly are on 300Mbps or above. Just host your dns at clouflare, and click the cloud icon next to your A record. that's it. If you host dynamic contents, you may want to tinker with optimizations or disable them entirely because some parts that don't like cache will break on overly aggressive optimizations.

Right, looks like currently Hostinger has some issues with changing nameservers and I'll probably give it a try again tomorrow
