Is this by design or a bug? If it is a design, can I purposely find the "cheapest" post code in peninsular Malaysia and put it as my post code during the registration process?

Anyways, how I found this out is because I have my "old" address (which is my parents' home, stated on my IC and also on my car purchase documentation), but I recently have been living in KL city (own property).

Usually all my official correspondences I will send to parents' address. Keeps it easier as I don't plan to stay long in my current property.

Is it "wrong" if I use my parents' home address when registering for car insurance? Can the insurance company repudiate any future claims?

The insured car should be usually parked at the address stated in the insurance policy. Don't try to play smart with the insurance company. When it comes to claims you will regret it.

I can't seem to find anything about it in the policy document.

Also, in any case, in my situation, would it be wrong to put parents' address as my correspondence address?
