Just to add on a point, I think B Sompo is of it that can buy online direct and save 10%

If B Sompo got my bike's model correct, then I would have bought it.

Hi, time for me to renew my roadtax.
Read that B Sompo is not bad. I saw from their website, unlimited towing assistance.

Anyone has any experience with their service level so far. Check B Sompo Facebook, it is like the other end of the world with many many negative feedbacks.

BTW, what is everyone using these days?

Allianz Bike Warrior is for 250cc above, recommended to get if your insurance coverage doesn't provide roadside assist. It's better than scrambling for bike towing that would easily cost RM200/RM250 and above. Plus it's unlimited number of towing during your coverage period. Peace of mind even if I don't really expect that I would need it.

For smaller cc bikes, I'm not too sure, I last heard Allianz was planning to introduce something but I didn't follow up on this. Anyway most people will say kapcai is small/light and easy to push or have some kind biker to help "tolak", but it's usually for intercity situations, if you are travelling long distance on kapcai I imagine you would want some roadside coverage.

I still find it dumb that we pay so much for bike insurance but it doesn't automatically comes with free towing unlike cars

My guess is that from the insurance company point of view, motorcycles have much higher chances of needing a tow than cars, like if there's a flat, there's no spare tire you can slap on. Or any minor fall or bike being dropped may snap the shifter and you cannot ride it so need a tow.

That's just my thought only.
