I would like to setup adguard dns on my dad's phone. Before I do it, I would like to hear some user feedback. Does it have any effect of causing any good websites to be not working correctly? Do you know any website that breaks with adguard dns?

Example of things he does online:
- booking hotels (local and foreign)
- reading local news sites
- various online banking sites
- paying bills

FYI, I don't stay with my him, therefore I cannot monitor and fix his issue immediately if he complains that certain websites fail to render properly.

been on adguard for many years. premium user for both adguard and its vpn. use them for all my devices.

- booking hotels (local and foreign)..never visit this kinds of site, not really sure
- reading local news sites... great cos this kinds of site full with ads
- various online banking sites..not problem with mb2, agro bank, bank islam, myasnb
- paying bills..never had problem..even with ewallet

as u know, can setup the apps which kinds of ads to block as well level or protection. find the comfortable setting for ur that instead of blocking everythings

adaway is better. and it's free. been using for years without any issue. for non rooted phone, it will use VPN which is very fast you won't see any difference.

- booking hotels (local and foreign)
- reading local news sites
- various online banking sites
- paying bills
all work.

this is adblocker, so you cannot browse site that will be directed from ad, which you will see in facebook and news sites

I'm not sure which adblock service is causing it (since I use a variety of extensions and also dns) but I have a problem where I can't search on the website version of shopee

If the user use the home WiFi most of the time then just get an Asus router that can support Merlin firmware and install Diversion ad-blocker on the router.

Or ask the user to use only PC for any payment related task, bigger screen better for older people too. Ad block on PC is way better.

You can apply, just apply the voucher with phone and go back when you are at the pay button screen then use the PC to pay.

Feels like too much trouble...
At that point you might as well directly check out on the phone

If pay with ShopeePay then yes just check out, but if via bank I will still use the PC since I'm usually on the PC anyway. To me the desktop website is way better except you can't access the live stream, liked product and followed shop.

If you are on Android, you can use SCRCPY software to use the phone on PC.
