i dont use php ever in my work so i am kinda lazy to learn

but my friend said u can make big money because a ton of websites are made in wordpress, however bad rep it has.

Learn PHP is not equal to learn Wordpress.....
( however wordpress is built with PHP )

today Web industry is no longer as simple as 10 years ago.


Most client do not just wanted a simple website....

Using wordpress, big money also means big headache.

Dealing with clients is already 80% of the problem.

you mean stuff like clients dont know what they want?

Not knowing what they want, not paying you on time, requesting last minute changes, etc. etc.

wordpress is one of the reasons PHP gets a bad name

Unless you're planning to develop and sell your themes/plugins, I feel like you're taking the wrong approach.

You can make money with WordPress without knowing PHP or how to code.

The WordPress ecosystem is very mature, there are themes and plugins that you can buy and customize (clicking not coding) for your client.

Think like a designer and less like a software developer.

Think whether u need this? Else, just learn the basics n spend few weeks on it n then move on. At least u know something than nothing
