I received a job offer ($6k) from a company in Singapore after months of applying SG jobs with 2 years of mechanical engineering work experience & UK degree… Today I got an email from the HR that my S pass application was approved.
Initially, I thought I should be getting EP since my salary exceeds the minimum qualifying salary for EP ($5k)…
Some questions:
- Does anyone know whether there are other criteria that might impact the work pass level?
- Can I ask HR why they applied for S pass instead of EP? (I wonder whether it’s my profile strength issue or other reasons that might lead to this…)
- What are the downsides of getting a S pass vs EP?
