1. Elizabeth was initially not destined to be Queen.
At birth, she was 3rd in line to the throne held by her Grandfather King behind her uncle and Dad. As her uncle was young and likely to have children, she was not expected to ascend the ladder and mere formality to have her name in the list. Eventually, her uncle did not bore any son and abdicated the throne to her father. When his father died, Elizabeth became the Queen until age 96!
Poor Charles had to wait until 73 to be King and his son now 40 may have to wait until 60 to stand a chance.



2. Elizabeth at 18 serve the Army during World War II
No she didnt take up arm into Normandy. But her family chose to stay in Scotland with the King when the Germans bombarded England. At 14 she broadcast messages to children via radio. At 18, she join the Army at auxillary unit as mechanic and lorry driver. She can drive trucks and continue to drive a Land Rover even at golden age.



3. During the Ghana crisis of an African dictator rising to join Soviet. QE risk her life by visiting Ghana and the dictator. 3 weeks before her trip a bomb was set off but QE decided to go ahead to meet the dictator and convinced him to not align with Soviet. Ghana stay in Commonwealth and was promised a Volta Dam project investment. British PM called US President and said: I risked my Queen; and now you risk your money!



4. QE like football and she presented the World Cup to the 1966 England winning team. Qe is a fan of Arsenal FC due to the Gunners history!

5. QE does not have a passport in her own name as her passport is issued to the Crown. She doesnot a driver licence too to drive her favorite rovers.
