Hi kawan kawan, I recently switched to Maxis Fibre and had only started fiddling with the settings.

My question: Can I use my DLINK router as the default router and set the Maxis router become a mesh satellite for my house? If yes, how? Just by enabling bridge mode on my default router and pair with easy mesh?

I have a DLINK AC1200 that was switched in when my old router spoiled from Unifi and recently started using Maxis and they gave me a KAON AR2140.

Thanks in advanced

Easymesh is the new standard by the wifi alliance for cross brand mesh

Problem is... Most vendors still prefer to lock you into their own system (TP-Link OneMesh, Deco Mesh, Asus AiMesh)

So sadly in this case i don't think it will work
Not sure which exact D-Link due to AC1200 is also a confusing term, it actually means the max speed in theory and shouldn't be used as a model number but sometimes is, can you confirm is the model actually AC1200?
But even then, the only few dlink routers that I know that support easy mesh is some of the COVR models

Better option is to use the Maxis stock router as your main router and if you really need the extra coverage, get mesh nodes from Maxis or those specific dlink COVR models or other EasyMesh compatible units.

This is not possible at the moment

EasyMesh standard is not widely available and cross-brand compatibility is generally pretty bad currently
