Just gotten my pre-ordered pair from Machine. Im new in Apple eco system and also new in airpod.. I have a few question to ask.

1. Can we make the airpod only connect to our phone? Like make it only belong to our phone. Other people cannot connect?

2. If I open the airpod case in a public area, anyone with Iphone will receive the notification to connect correct? Thats mean anyone can easily steal your airpod and connect it and use it for their own correct?

1. Once the AirPods have been paired to your devices, new devices cannot pair with it unless you press and hold the physical button on the case again.

2. Only during the initial pairing stage. Just quickly pair it with your phone and you don’t have to worry already.

Finally joined the club of AirPods Pro ‘Mark 2’. biggrin.gif

First impressions over my AirPods Pro Mark 1:-
- Bass is so so much better! I don’t even need to have a super tight seal/fit to have an excellent experience on the low-end with the Mark 2. And the bass is just nice, pleasant, deep without being too ‘in your face’.
- The overall sound quality whilst listening to music is very nice. It may not be to the liking of those that enjoy really enhanced ‘V’ sound signatures from other true wireless earbuds brands, but it’s perfect for those that like a balance sound signature (me!) whereby the mids and highs aren’t sacrificed too much.
- Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) on the Mark 2 is really next level over the Mark 1. I would dare say it even rivals larger sized ANC Bluetooth over-ear headphones like my AirPods Max. Apple really nailed it this time!
- The only downside I’ve noticed so far are some bugs on the ANC processing. Sometimes it will randomly pick up or allow through ambient noise but that has only happened a few times randomly before fixing itself automatically.

All in all, the Mark 2 is a must-have for anyone who wants best-in-class ANC and a balanced sound quality. For those that loved the Mark 1, I would also seriously recommend buying the Mark 2, as these are like totally different AirPods in how they perform! happy.gif

i forgot to tell you my beyer is one of the bass light ones and very bright. For me even normal sone xm4 and xm5 headphone's bass is too much. Airpods Pro 2 bass has good quality and details, very clear when you listen to acoustic bass not those electronic ones, and yeah it's strong too, if the amount is more than this i wouldn't like to listen as much anymore, because what i care is quality not the quantity.

Weird for you to mention it doesn't have much details but when i tried on some audiophile tracks i can listen to every background noises on it just fine, even some songs like on vienna teng's "nothing without you", alot headphones that doesn't have good treble detail can't even distinguish the background 2 different cymbal sounds but the airpods pro 2 can, on a lossy bluetooth codec.

Background vocal separation on audiophile recorded track also is pretty easy on airpods pro 2, don't say about the bass too, it's strongest point, even head-fi audiophiles agree airpods pro 2's strongest audio feature is it's bass quality. I don't know how much bass you liked this to be but for me it sounded fine, the amount and tonality is what i expected, since i myself plays acoustic drum before too, so i hated earphones or headphones that can't do kick drums, snare, toms, and cymbal's sound well.

lastly it is the instrument separation which is actually really good on airpods pro 2 too. it actually shows the sound of each instrument quite nicely that some of my more expensive wired gear wouldn't be able to and make the sound more flat. I don't really care about depth that much despite that airpods pro 2 have some level of depth but not much.

for the me the only weakness is the highs, they just sounded "lossy" and lacked much detail, it sounded like digital artifacts or if you play pc games like have aliasing, wheres my beyer would play the same highs very clear. To be fair even my ue900 aren't able to play highs super clear too, and that's running on balance armature that should be great in highs.

all of this tested via iphone and lossless apple music tracks (let the phone transcode the bluetooth codec)

i haven't tried on android yet but i do noticed it sounded significantly worse when connected to windows 10.

What you mentioned about the AirPods Pro 2 sound quality is spot on! 👍🏼

It is seriously something that I have to give credit to Apple for.

I mostly use it with Apple Music now with Dolby Atmos, Spatial Audio and HeadTracking features - and the experience is nothing short of phenomenal.

Even though it is true that Android devices have better Hi-Fi Bluetooth codecs to pair with the likes of Sony’s range of flagship Bluetooth head/earphones, but for one that is vested in the Apple ecosystem with iPhones, iPads and MacBooks, the AirPods Pro 2 really has no competition in this regard at the moment.

After updating my iPhone to iOS 16.1, i realized the bugs on the AirPods Pro 2 has become non-existent already. It’s excellent now. biggrin.gif
