Hi, is it true that Ultra will not get any refreshed model this year or next year? If yes, I will buy an Ultra soon.

If the MicroLED display is the only expected new feature, then maybe not?

Apple is working on an updated version of the Apple Watch Ultra that has an improved microLED display, but the device won't launch until the second half of 2025, according to information shared by display analyst Ross Young.

Yeah, I read about this.

i doubt a new Ultra will surface this year, next year probably.

if you need one, don't think - just get it.  tongue.gif

once you have it on your wrist, you will understand why you've made the decision haha!

The battery for S6 can't last long anymore, that's the reason I wanted to change to Ultra. Since she is OK, then take it. tongue.gif

Wait, I suddenly read that Ultra 2 will be announced next week? Apple will make me "broke." I haven't bought the Ultra yet, so I will buy one if U2 is coming. laugh.gif

I've to sit quietly with my Ultra and pretend I didn't see anything about a U2. Still have to get a 15 Pro Max to replace my 12PM, shiver to think that I'd "need" an Ultra2 as well.  laugh.gif
*
Same here. I'm replacing my 12PM too with 15PM or 15 Ultra, whatever the highest tier is. I'm shivering too. laugh.gif

If I’m new to Apple Watch, with the 700rm difference, go UW or UW2 better?
*
If budget is not an issue, then go for UW2. You won't upgrade Apple Watch every year though.

I supposed U2 is also having same battery life as U1? Mine easily lasts 4 days.

Mine around 2 days, and left 30%. U2 battery so efficient can last 4 days?
*
Ya. For me. Charged and unplugged on Monday midnight, now still left 75%.

Ok, just checked the specs. U2 is 564 mAh vs U1 542 mAh.

I unplugged on Tuesday 12am, now left 58%.  sad.gif

I think the battery capacity does make a difference in this case.
Wait, I think I unplugged around Tuesday 1am. Still not too bad.

Mine is without AOD turned on and it’s 36% now. I guess I will only charge it tomorrow night before sleeping. U2 by the way.

QUOTE(Sien99 @ Dec 4 2023, 06:31 PM)
So I have been using the watch for about 1 month now, and notice the skin directly under the sensor have discolouration and peeling when dried.
It doesn’t hurt, but it left an obvious mark there.
Looks like burn. Im not wearing it tightly, 1 finger can easily pass thru.
Did any of you have the same effect?

No such issue. Though I am using the Ultra 2, I came from S6 version. I have been wearing Apple Watch for years. I wear tighter than you described.

How does AWU look on asian girl with not too thick wrist? Is it ugly? Wanted to get one for my wife for Christmas present but she's fit, afraid the watch will look weird on her skinny wrist.
*
It will look huge on her but if she likes big watches then it is OK. Some girls like huge and bulky watches.
