Very tempted to get the Ultra solely for the 49mm screen. I am currently using a S7 Stainless Steel and I find it a little too heavy for workouts.

Now would the Ultra look good for day-to-day or a formal setting, that remains to be seen.

I think buy casing to protect the watch can liao, no need buy screen protector

The video below show how much the watch can take before gg

Actually why need to buy casing?

The Ultra is meant to take a hit, its built like a tank already. I personally don’t use a casing or any screen protector for my Stainless Steel AW7 - it defeats the purpose of the beautiful watch body. I might get the Ultra and defo gonna use it naked.

Hi guys. For those of you getting ready to order the Apple Watch Ultra from Apple Online Store, what band sizes are you all going for?

Medium size seems to be the safest ?

Probably M kot.

Alpine Green ftw 💪🏻 such a beautiful colour, wish they also have it in blue, like my current braided solo loop.

I find it odd that pre-orders for first batch still not fulfilled but some models are available for walk ins.

I find the Alpine strap bulky.

I remember measuring my wrist and went with the recommended size, which is M but the hook is still directly under my wrist.

Anyone here found that their 3rd party chargers not being able to charge the Apple Watch Ultra? My Baseus bedside 3-in-1 charger can't seem to charge my Apple Watch Ultra. Just maintains its battery level. I have to use the cable that comes with the watch to charge it.
*
Using Belkin 3 in 1, can charge no problem.

Did you check the Optimized Charging, is it turned on?

Yes it is, ah, I didn't know that there are so many options on charging now!
*
Haha glad that helped! They are really starting to turn the watch into a mini-phone with all these features.

On the side note, it is really a hassle to have an existing cellular plan on your current watch, then to transfer it to another new Apple Watch you need to cancel and reactivate again (might incur charges if its before your billing cycle).

Either that or its Maxis screwing with me. Gotta wait 4 days until my next cycle otherwise they will charge me RM18 x2 for this cycle.

*
The white looks good actually, thou my choice would still be Midnight.

How’s the battery for everyone?

Removed from charger at 7.30am this morning and its at 76% without workout tracking - just normal usage.

Background refresh same as my previous Series 7, currently no cellular plan yet.

anyone with new bands feeling the lock mechanism part isnt holding snugly compared to older watch? my ocean band is wriggling about even tho locked in place
*
Did you completely push in the second holder into place? Because once you adjusted (elongate) it, you need to lock it back into place so the whole piece is tight.

My Ocean band is quite snug actually, doesn’t wiggle at all. Only the Alpine band wiggles.

Haha, bro. Actually, my main reason is to protect the titanium bezel surrounding the display, as this is the part that easily gets scratched or dinged the most. I am fully confident of the Sapphire crystal, although in some tests I’ve seen for the Stainless Steel Apple Watches, the Sapphire displays can get scratched at a MOH scale of 8 or so. Normally real sapphire on mechanical Swiss watches wouldn’t scratch even at MOH scale of 9 - if I am not wrong.
Excellent. RM199 is reasonable. Thanks for the heads up!  thumbup.gif
Nice! Please show a photo after installing it onto your Ultra.  thumbsup.gif

Let me share some experience with you -

I have previously used the Apple Watch 7 Stainless Steel > 1 year naked, without any protection and trust me, the watch has been to places - from knocking against walls, gates, tables, steel etc and right now looking at it, not a single scratch on the screen - nada.

The body had a very minor scratch (not visible) because of the Milanese Loop - same material friction = destruction haha.

But rest assured, with or without protection, your watch will hold up quite well.

Yeah. I somewhat miss the days when life was moving so much slower in pace. But as a gadget lover, the era we live in now is so exciting everyday!
Hahaha. Yeah, caved in.  blush.gif  blush.gif
Oh yeah. Good reminder. Thanks!  notworthy.gif
Wahhhhhhhhh. I knew you would get it soon too. Congrats, bro!  icon_idea.gif

Hahaha thanks bro! I have low will-power cry.gif but every day I look at my watch now and tell myself, I made a good choice. It's a beautiful piece of tech!

Anyone noticed how the Antenna band gets dirty rather easily?

A huge OUCH moment.

Dropped my watch in the gym shower the other day, from shoulder height (i’m 180cm) and landed on the sides. Counting my blessings that the screen escaped unscathed.

Any good band?

Apple bands are great, I'm personally using the Ocean and Trail loop.

3rd parties like Nomad are quite decent too - eying the titanium one for more formal occasions.

Hi, is it true that Ultra will not get any refreshed model this year or next year? If yes, I will buy an Ultra soon.

i doubt a new Ultra will surface this year, next year probably.

if you need one, don't think - just get it. tongue.gif

once you have it on your wrist, you will understand why you've made the decision haha!
