Ya, I somewhat agree with that too. But at the same time, I'd like to try keeping my device in as good condition as I can so that it can later be passed to someone else if the need arises. Like now that 3G is history and when I come across someone who can't afford to get another phone, or something along the line.

Case for the AWU will definitely be more glaring, given its size. And TG is out for me too, since it'd more or less affect the touch sensitivity. I use only those thin flexible film, and it works well.

AW7's my first AW so I've a bumper, had to because it took me a few months to learn to be more careful to avoid hitting my wrist on anything. But... even a transparent bumper can spoil the AW-look...

If you're talking about just for activities alone, I guess the AW that can do lots more things isn't for you then.

For those who remember those old Swatch days when they'd oversized watch models, it really depends on how the individual carries off a watch. There are straps of all sorts of colors, patterns, widths, etc, out there, to make the overall look more glaring or subdued, it's up to the individual to work it out. It's like matching a baggy shirt to slim-cut or baggy pants?

It's the individual's choice. If a woman likes the other features of an Apple Watch Ultra well enough, I'm pretty sure she'll work it out somehow. But if she's already into some other smart watches, the mere look of an AWU can already be a turnoff.

Think of the possibility of why Apple made this model with a flat screen. Then imagine how a 49mm will look like if they'd continued with the old look.

Just use whatever you feel comfortable with, don't need to follow the crowd.

I say this isn't too big for the vast majority, not even some ladies. Just have to find a more suitable strap to go with.

In fact, after you use this for a few days, you might find the older/smaller models puny. I feel my 45mm looks a bit weird these days.

I've to sit quietly with my Ultra and pretend I didn't see anything about a U2. Still have to get a 15 Pro Max to replace my 12PM, shiver to think that I'd "need" an Ultra2 as well.

I'd say worth or not is up to individuals.

I got the original Ultra when my 45mm S7 was only 5-month old and I'm still happy I did it. I don't have a big wrist either, but then I'm used to having "big" watches coming from G-Shocks before I first got an Apple Watch.
