Is this considered normal? Was just sitting down whole day (some walks to toilet) and the battery drained 18% from 1030am till 630pm (8 hours)

just sabar abit, wait a few days after updating

is this your first apple device? every long term apple users know that after updating their device the battery life will suffer first then only resume to normal due to their usual file indexing and processing

monitor first before taking pitchforks and torches

WatchOS 9.1 is here. Should be with the new advertised low power settings mode which Apple says can extend battery life to 60 hours. Perhaps some of you might get a full week between charges.

Someone can probably go test and report back.

I'm an everything on full blast charge everyday guy.

is this new low power mode the one for workouts only though hmm.gif

it says reduced GPS and readings under Workout section. cant seem to apply it for everything else

Yup seems so. Everything else is the same except for that new low power mode with long gps/heart update interval rate.

hmm i was expecting another super low power mode to toggle so can completely make the watch like airplane mode in smartphones laugh.gif

The new low power mode, just like the supposed target of Ultra, is for extreme sports, i.e. doing a 12 hours Ironman, a 100k ultra marathon etc. It's not meant for those who has easy access to charger.

yeah i mean as in can turn it on without needing to be on workout

currently it can only be switched on if youre doing a workout

You can turn off sleep tracking, heart rate thingy that alerts you when its too high or low, blood o2, etc.

Or just turn on the normal low power mode. I do that when outstation.

For me, the awu gives us this flexibility to extend the battery by turning on low power mode or other individual settings that you can do without whenever.

It goes even further by having a low power mode that came with 9.1 for running/walking/cycling

yeah i was hoping they had something like that

like besides the low power mode in battery setting, i can switch on the "extreme low power mode"

then it auto switches off sleep tracking, GPS, heartrate monitoring etc. it would made no sense tho, cause this is would render the watch useless laugh.gif
