i just ordered mine from apple, delivery on 18/10...

It is depends on your need. I want It health feature, so cellular is not useful to me.. in fact the mic, and speaker also not useful to me

Hmmm… this time DHL delivery no longer travel from SG to CN then MY. It was from SG directly to KL ( no using flight but lorry now?). Now it is at KL sorting center, so i guess maybe mine one will be arrived earlier than 18/10.

My delivery date still remain the same (18/10). Current status is “ clearance delay” at subang.

This is mine …. Maybe same batch when delivering.

Great… but i didn’t get any email from DHL… estimation date still remain the same😅

Just got SMS from Apple… it is delivering by today😍

This is my first AW,Here are somethings wanna ask..
1) can I off the wifi (mine is just gps model), what will be affected if I do so? Since I m using it for health tracking, not for email, message, calling, off the wifi maybe can save some battery?

2) I want to show the heart rate on watch , but the watch face only show the heart rate icon, not the number, am I missing something in my settings?

Hmm... not using watch to unlock the phone.. since the phone now can unlock with mask on.
Anyway, i just read form Apple help page about the wifi, it said only cellular +gps is able to turn off, GPS only model couldn’t do that....but why I can turn it off? https://support.apple.com/en-my/HT204562

After around 4days usages with my AW8 GPS model:

1) WIFI: After you off it, it will turn on after sometimes by itself (it has a button on control centre,). so im no longer off the wifi. Apple support page said only cellular vision are able to off ,but will auto turn on until the next day.

2) Watch face: No much watch face i can use to display the heart rate. some nice watch faces are not able to display the Hr, only the icon.

3) Heart Rate: i was from fitbit tracker before AW, so i thought the HR will be real time like Fitbit, but AW8 is not real time. It seem will start measures when you have changes on your HR like form sitting to walking, running, climbing staircase. Else it will only update after certain period of time ( the period is unclear, it could be 3minutes until 20m).

4) Battery: my purpose to hv this AW8 is all about health measuring, so i turn off all the messages apps, email and calls on AW ( im personally find notifications are disturbing, and i only check on phone when i want to do so). Only allow health related apps for the background activities & notification. i always on the "Always Display Mode" when i go out, but on the"theater mode" when im home, because seldom checking the time, and HR ( no heavy activities ).... with this settings, battery will remain 50% and above at night (morning is around 80% after wake up & sleep tracking).

5) Charging: from 50% to 100%, around 30-40 min.(im using my macbook usb-c adapter.) Satisfied with the charging speed.

mine is ok...

I was from fitbit before AW, the benefit to me is the health metrics (fitbit need subscription for more details and past history data) ....and you can install other apps if you want more analysis from your AW. (Fitbit can't do this).

distraction from screen is not a problem to me... because i have a clear goal of wearing AW.
