Anyone owns both AW7 and AW8? If want buy only one which one you think is worth it? 7 or 8?

My colleague owns a S7 whereas I have a S8. My colleague never own an AW before whereas i upgraded from a S4.

If you are new to AW, a S7 is good enough and cheaper too.

This issue baffles me. Therefore I hope some folks can help me out.

For mails I have set it to mirror my phone. However, I don’t get notification on my Watch. But when I set it to Custom, ticking notifications for all, they then work.

Shouldn’t mirroring my phone gets notifications of incoming mails? Am I missing something?

Me too don’t get notifications when set to mirror iPhone. But I just let it be.

I suppose that’s how Apple intends it to be.

What are the concentric circles in Compass app in the Watch? The circles move as I turn the side dial.

This one is for the waypoint. You can set a waypoint with the bottom left icon. If you set one then it will show on this radius.

Just bought my first Apple Watch and it was the Series 8. Battery can last around 2 days of average use, not bad.

The hand gestures features are pretty neat. You can use some essential functions just by pinching your finger and clenching your fist. It's in the Accessibility menu under Assistive Touch.

Im looking for a Apple Watch too. How long need to charge to full battery?

Charging is very fast. I never timed it but whenever I put it on charge, i check it within an hour and it is fully charged.

Save for future reference.

Quite fast. I use a 25w USB-C power adaptor to charge. From 0 to 100% around 50min.

I can’t use my Apple Pay with assistive touch anymore. I set my Apple Pay with the ‘Clench’ hand gesture and enabled the Confirm with AssistiveTouch. So usually I just clench once to launch Apple Pay and clench again to confirm.

But now after I launch AP, it won’t confirm after the second clench. The watch registered the clench but it just show ‘Confirm with AssistiveTouch’.

Already tried resetting the AssistiveTouch, remove and adding the card back to the watch wallet as well as reboot the watch but still the same. Anyone know how to fix it?

Yeah bro, i am just being sarcastic with my reply before this.

Hermes edition was introduced to Msia market when Apple Watch debuted.
As fast as it was introduced in early days, the option was removed along with titanium series in following generations, probably due to poor demand in our local market (the price is the culprit).

Based on personal opinion, from what i see, the reintroduction of Hermes series probably is due to the high demand in Apple Watch Ultra, and they see the spending power is here in M'sia for reintroduction of Hermes series.
