I'm a simple man.

I went to watch Mat Kilau last week to see what's the hype. Sial la what a cringe-worthy movie. New world order my ass lmao. Too much sound effects like cheap Bollywood movie. I fell asleep for half the runtime lol. Waste of money je. I give 2/10 rating.

I want to hate it but.... there are way too many positives in that trailer compared to anything Malaysia had (that are not art movies) that makes it leagues better.

- It has better cinematography
- It has better SFX
- It has better acting

Some scene does look like it copied from Wonder Woman. But if they could make it work, why not?

If comparing it to any super hero movie that at best was Cicak Man, this is leagues better. It is almost closer to Major Grom : Plague Doctor without the dead pan comedic hero. That russian movie had good Sfx, somewhat ok storyline.

Saw a cyberpunk body horror segment made by indonesian in latest v/h/s movie and really surprised me how well done it was. No way local production can match that with the taleeband mindset.
