Seen the original price for a new monitor on dell official is 2.1k, however the outlet sells only rm1199. Model is S2721DGF, really tempting.

I know lazada 9.9 is coming but previously i bought ASUS & msi from online platforms and they say if return need to have certain amount of dead pixels etc etc. So not really leaning to buy again from these platforms especially Dells warranty is good. But then i never tried before refurbished monitor, so really dont know what will happen.

This morning chat with the sales advisor from the factory outlet website and he say this model dont have “new or unopened” one, all are refurbished. He say the remaining stocks are in “good condition”, some are used/returned and will be packed with brown box. Thankfully the refurbished one also covers the 3 year warranty. Returns of change of mind are probably unacceptable I assume. If got dead pixel also not sure can exchange until get 0 or not. So in the end should I gamble or no? Really indecisive. If dont want to buy this one then ill probably go lazada see got any good new monitor or not.

Side question:
These refurbished ones can continue bargain price with sales rep ke?

Got warranty or not? If the offer 3 years warranty with 50% discount, why not? Anything, make sure you claim the warranty.

refurbish = fixed and tested.

new = could be QA failure., end up replaced a refurbished unit.

Sorry im replying using this account because main one had restrictions. But i had received the invoice and apparently the warranty is stated clearly (see attached picture). And i think i did some research and most of the monitors with 1440p and 144hz are around at least 1k price, i would also like to avoid the ones without solid warranty ones. Just that in this case its a refurbished one so… gotta ask the gods around here

MYR1199 QHD 144Hz , got quite many NEW option.

and...

i am using RTX3070. i can firmly tell you...
even RTX3080 got problem maintain FHD @ 144hz

QHD 1440 , if you have 3080, realistic setting = 120Hz

or 1440 DLSS Quality 144Hz


for me....

QHD Lock FPS @ 90 if i have 3080..

120++ for eport games..

Based on your screenshot, DELL website is showing 3 years warranty => INCLUDED.
So if it's cheaply discounted vs. other comparable brands / specs, why not?

if direct from DELL, then can grab. they will cover the warranty.

Actually im software engineer, wanted to get at least 2k monitors strongly because the text on 1080p is kinda bad especially when looking for a long duration.

Even now im sitting in office im using a 4k monitor (of course i cant afford), the 144hz is just extra la i would say, but nice to have. For games i only play during weekend, weekday mostly watch youtube and such, had a rtx 3070 also (zotac one) but not too particular with achieving max refresh rate in games.

Previously had 1080p 144hz ones, hard to go back to 60hz except when im working in office.

refurbed dell with 3 years warranty. why not? you can also check with them on why that particular unit is refurbished. if you're lucky, it is just a returned item with no defect.
