Sockets in home looks too plain, bored of those white colour plastic.
Planning to buy some with nicer look, with the look of steel in silver/gray/gold colour.

Any brand recommendation from anyone?

I saw this one from ReTouch, looks nice, and price is affordable too, RM10+

Anyone using ReTouch sockets, and is the build quality good?

You can visit electrical hardware shop, lightning shop to test

Build quality just looking front panel doesn't tell the whole story you need look at the back the build quality thickness, weight and the clicking noise can tell the whole story

Also need to check behind the wall how deep, how many wiring already there how thick is your existing wiring are

If the switch too thick unable to fit properly due to those wiring obstacle

If can Just visit physical shop to test around ☺️

good advise. Agree that the feel of touching it is important also, and also the details to take note.
I will go test around, or order one or two from shopee lazada before actually bulk purchasing.

thumbup.gif this brand is good. and many customization options also.
problem is not much information online on its pricing.

I saw from Lazada that the simple white one costs RM30

Dilemma over whether it's overpriced, or worth it for better quality.

For normal plug usage, less on/off, not high power load, can use nice² one.

But for frequently on/off, high load (especially kitchen) use quality normal one better. If spoit, can easily/ cheap replaced.

Anyway, thats how i do. Coz high power kitchen usage that socket can broke easily especially the switch.

depends on the range/model, there's really simple/basic units that are below RM10per unit, the more fancy pancy looking ones will certainly cost more laugh.gif

Also from lazada, Schneider's official store (Lazada link HERE)

My 2 cents, get the basic ones if the location of the switch/points are going to be hidden/obstructed from plain-view (like those "hidden" in the TV console) - only get the fancy pancy "designer"-vibes ones for areas you (and your guests) tend to see it more prominently smile.gif

good point of view. I always thought high load/ heavy use one requires more expensive socket.
Things sure broke down more easily compared to my grandparent days.
