Hello all,

Im looking for a budget friendly and reliable riding shoe. Im going to use for daily commute and santai2 rides with the Bois on the weekend. Something to keep my feet dry in the rain and comfortable to be an everyday walking shoe. Budget is 300-400. Thanks in advance.

Rain wise, if ur not wearing over the shoe rain proof pants, water is gonna seep in n ull still be wet

Tcx looks like over my budget, but I'm willing to top up some more if it's that good. How's the quality? Have you owned a pair yourself?

i havent.... but a neighbour of mine did... and did take a look and it was decent quality. been wanting to buy a pair of TCX boots myself but the one i want doesnt have my size anymore.

u could also look at LSH Racing... i think they have Forma boots on promo every now n then....their promos quite decent too.

i bought a high cut, waterproof Rev'It boots for RM3xx during their promo (end of the product's life cycle as well). super stiff but still comfortable enough to use on the bike for hours.

for comfortable everyday walking shoe, sorry to say thats not what riding boots are made of. unless u buy those RM1xx "riding" boots from pertama complex or something... the kind that police bikers here usually wear.

Up your budget a bit more and your can get this type of tcx riding shoes.
I'm wearing this to work. Comfy. And does it job to keep my feet dry when riding in the rain

Those Forma on LSH clearance are very good deal. But very limited on sizing.

Another issue with waterproof boots is, if they somehow get wet, it takes them a long time to dry out unless you have an air dryer for them. Dont use a hairdryer like I did.... completely wrecked the waterproof liner when I overheated them.

TCX has some budget line up and sometimes on sale for around 300. Unfortunately they are not sold as "waterproof". You could go to Hodaka Motoworld @ PJCC and check it out.

You could also go over to Serdang Motorcycle and check out thier budget branded Benkia range. They should be around the 300 range also.

Also, proper riding boots are supposed to be stiff for the needed protection. Get as high cut as you can find comfortable wearing.
