Wtf is tofu litter?

According to google

What is tofu cat litter? Not to be confused with the protein source you eat, it gets it's name because it's made from the food-grade pulp of soybeans (same as tofu that you eat), making it a non-toxic, 100% natural alternative to conventional cat litters.

Depends.

Clay litter - cheaper, you get more. Usually 10L good brand RM20 something. But you need big litter box, cannot small litter box because then you will get mud everywhere. Odor control really good. Dispose in plastic bag. Good if you have many cats.

Tofu, expensive. Good brand 7L or 6L cost RM20++. No dust. Good for cat who have asthma. Safe for kittens because some kittens are stupid curious like to eat sand. Also recommend for if your cat just after surgery or have wound. Odor control is hit or miss. Good brand last longer, bad tofu litter will smell funky really fast. Sometime if the cat pee too much, tofu will become porridge like - it sticks on the litter box. Cleaning is a bit of work since the clumping is average and the tofu pellet does not go through your scoop like sand/clay do. Only recommend if you have 1 or 2 cats. You can flush it down the toilet no problem.

Use good brand tohu cat litter like cindy n friends. Not too expensive, around rm20 include shipping. Got better ones too but more expensive. 1 pack can last 3-4 weeks for 1 cat.

Thanks bro. So means clay cannot keep for 1 week la. No wonder having trouble with the smell

depends on type of clay. generally have 2 type: one is the white bentonite and 2nd is black. black bentonite less dust, usually more expensive, really muddy when reacts with water. white bentonite cheap, good clumping but will break when you scoop. but there is also the expensive type of white bentonite - Proline brand. Really good odor control, even better than the black bentonite but dust everywhere.

the general rule of thumb of bentonite clay based on my experience: more expensive better odor control. mr diy also sell bentonite litter, just RM10 per bag but those are crap tier. the expensive litter can last for more than a week. but more importantly, remember to wash the litterbox when you think the urine smell is too strong. once every month should be good.

Another to add, I tried to use tofu type cat litter, the cleaning a bit of a mess. It tend to stick on floor and need to work harder to clean it up. Just need to mind this.
