It's more like the Saudi Royals never followed the religion to begin with. It's long been an open secret that they have orgies, sex slaves and openly drink alcohol and whatever sin you can name. It comes to light more often nowadays whenever they go overseas since Western Media and tabloids has no qualms about exposing their excesses when they come to their countries. In fact it wasn't even East that abolished slavery despite what the camel-rider wannabes claim, it was the West that started it and pressured the rest of world into complying. Slavery was only ended a few decades ago in the Arab countries and Sex Slavery there still exists behind closed doors, especially in countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Not saying Malaysia is completely free from it considering our Human Trafficking status but as a society we don't condone it.
