Hello everyone,

Would like to ask for your opinion for outdoor & indoor water filter that i am surveying for my landed house.

For outdoor water filter, compared the sand filter (my current house is using) vs membrane, felt like membrane is better? (i might be wrong) but would like to know your opinions/comments/inputs notworthy.gif
For indoor water filter, too many choices but i am leaning towards tankless and can get hot/warm/room temp water confused.gif

Appreciate if you can share your pov in term of maintenance (backwash, spare parts replacement, after sales service, etc.)
too many brands and all ads showing very positive rating lol rclxub.gif

Thanks in advance.

**sorry those options just what i can think of at the moment, you can suggest the others as well rclxm9.gif

Im currently using intact outdoor membrane and indoor hot/cold with tank, as well as 2x 4 step filter under sink generic ones.

IMO there isnt really much diff between the OEM brands and SK/coway/LG etc etc.

oh hmm.. but for SK/Coway/LG there will be technician coming to service every few months right..
if other brand, need to service on our own?= shocking.gif

Whichever brand, check tbe maintenance cost whether it fits the yearly budget.

Many I know, delay on maintenance after realising on the high cost.

that's right.. but many brands SA just briefly explain on the maintenance and some even told the outdoor membrane filter just need to backflush so that the filter will last for years
for in house filter, i am thinking whether should i go for brands like Coway/SK since they had technician coming over according to their maintenance schedule (eg: 2months/4months once)

Filters are meant to be replaced after it 'expired'. Backflush does not help to maintain water quality as 'things' can be trapped within the filters and cannot be removed.

i see , thanks for you input.
so the backflush/backwash stuff that the SA talking was kind of marketing gimmick
