Hi Guys, did you all heard anything that the DCMoto products are not stable? One of the installer told me that, DCMoto keep changing and updating their parts. Until the dealer not able to follow and need to keep a lot of different parts for different batch of same model.

I had been suggested by Wilson to use DC Moto because I am planning to change my gate to folding type from my current swing type. The current underground autogate system keep causing problem and paid a lot to repairing it. Therefore, thinking to change the whole system.

Buy local made like OAC, cheaper and more spare parts. Been using one for about 20 months already.

Hi Weikee, what you mean local made is made in KL and Klang Valley?
As i know DC Moto is from Penang.

Hi all, got my autogate system installed.
End up i still choose arm type, and i got it from Winson - MAG Wing 303.
But the person install is not from Winson's company, as refer to ths guy name Lo. Winson sub the job to him, and during the installation day Winson just drop by and take a look.
1 feedback on the Wing 303, i think it's quike slow. Even on my 5 foot gate (each side), I dont feel like it's heavy duty enough. So for those who like to have a fast moving gate when open and close, you might not want to consider this.
And the price i got from Winson was RM1200, and he accept check.

Hi jimmylim85, if you respond to this thread before i install my auto gate system. I will choose DCMoto already, i am so headache on choosing one of them 2 weeks back.
A lot of installer here in KL still recommend arm type, and I try to survey around my taman and found no one is using DC or CASA type of system.
The information you provided here are very useful, as you are a installer.
A installer in KL here recommend wall mount system from OAE, is stainless steel made claim to be better than DC and CASA. Any review?

just curious, how is it better? We just installed CASA recently, the arm is stainless steel as well. Since there is no mechanical (hydraulic) parts, we felt, its better in longer run.

I think its all up to individual preference. As long as service and warranty is to your liking, go with it  smile.gif

The OAE one is SS even the body itself as i see the catalog.

our view was that, after sometime (the previous models installed at our relatives homes) the arm movement was not smooth, say after 5-10 years.

with the system that dc-moto and casa has, its gear system with oil filled, hence should withstand longer. we might be wrong, but that was our understanding.

5-10 years are very long, worth the money we spend =)
Does your CASA have some high pitch noise when it open or close?

Hi petlu, my story is my old underground system keep giving me issue and it will cost me RM380 to change the mother board this time. So I decide to change a new system, but i have a plan to extend my gate and change it from swing to folding type at end of this year.
Therefore, I survey and research for the most suitable system for my plan. Many installer told me to use wall type at the beginning, but during the chat session with all the installer they will point out a lot of cons for wall mount system. Like noisy, wait longer to repair as factory at Penang, DCMoto keep changing the internal parts as using the customer to be the white mouse...
But as i know by logical thinking, wall mount system is the best for folding gate. Because the arm is smaller, so the gate can fold wider or to the maximum. As compare to those arm system, the huge stainless steel body will stuck in between the folding gate and causing it cant open to the max.
Due to all the comment from the installers, i do not have confident to the wall mount system and end up i chosen the MAG Wing 303 arm which cost me RM1200. The arm is huge but speed is slow.

You've probably made a very practical and sensible choice.  The wall mounted systems do look aesthetically more pleasing, however they are not as mainstream and as well supported by the installers in KL.

After reading the professional comment and information from Jimmy, I will give DC a try if I'm allow to choose again.
Because i will extend my gate from now 10" to future 14", if the arm block the folding by 1" then i will remain 12" only after the gate open. Which i think is a main concern for me.
If your gate is 20" wide, then waste of 2" to you is nothing. But for my small house, 14" is the max i can give to my gate.

this one right?

First I look at their control panel.... IMHO  yawn.gif  yawn.gif  yawn.gif

Looks big control panel, lack of features, and no 4 channel remote control operation (you can individual opening leaf on any side you want).

Direct copies OAE design, probably the internals too.

You're way better off settle with OAE 333 with NX12 circuit board if you want to be on budget and arm-type.

Thx Jimmy...
But really hope you are active here before i choose the MAG Wing 303...
doh.gif

I have a question, one of my pillar does not wide enough to screw the entire bracket for the MAG arm. The Installer only manage to screw the 2 wall plug on the pillar, and he screw an additional metal on the floor then weld the metal with the arm bracket to support the arm.
After the install left, i found everytime i open or close my gate, the whole arm bracket and the additional metal screwed on the floor is shaking. Is it normal? I worry one day the whole arm will detach from the pillar, and it's happening on the right gate which I use it to open single side very frequent...
Please help to give some comment.
