Went to a home fair last weekend, all the autogate suppliers are pushing for the aluminum trackless system. But my concerns is still on the strength of the post holding the gate, where after some time, it might sag and drop. Some of them mentioned that the post will have to be made with RC and not brick wall, meaning that I might need to redo the 2 columns before installing the gate.

For those who's currently using the trackless gate, may I know how's your experience? Are you satisfy with it? Or you would prefer a track type if you can make the change earlier?

Thanks

For those full aluminium trackless gate it's quite light weight so for normal pillar size 2-3 ft wide sholdn't be any problem. Unless those original small pillar 6-8 inch wide by developer then wouldn't support because no enough space to hold the the motor bracket. Normally the pillar won't drop unless the floor foundation sink. If want to see the actual thing after installation can see our facebook dblcss.klg date 4th Jan 2019.

Thanks for the info. Actually the pillar size at both side of my gate is quite big, but due to 1 side is the TNB meter, another side is the refuse chamber, I believe the wall is only like a single brick wall thick. Is it good enough to support the trackless gate?

Something like this:

Sometimes this pillar we're built with reinforce concrete molded together to look like that. If u have a picture of the house during construction it would be very helpful to see the material being used.

Too bad it's a subsale house. But let me try to ask the neighbours.

Hi guys,

My contractor recommended me this brand, Trex X2 motor only for RM2k

May I know if this is a reasonable price?

Also at RM2k, is there any other better options?

Thanks

Thanks for your info, will look into this.

BTW may I know what's the differences between the 212K and 880?

p/s - I see that the 212K is actually the same as the X2 from my contractor but much cheaper, the mark up is really high sweat.gif sweat.gif

Would like to know more about the arm type like the 212K vs normal motor type like the Turbo 880, what are the pros and cons ya?

Thanks for the info, comparing these 2, which one is more reliable ya? also which will occupy more space when the gate is opened?

Also my original gate is about 14ft wide, would like to widen it to 17". May I know if it's possible to just extend the existing armoured cable? Or need to pull a longer cable from the other side of the gate?

Thanks

Just want to check with you is it work with Dnor Turbo 880?
Thanks.
I just installed Dnor Turbo 880. Thanks for the advice.

I'm considering the Dnor Turbo 880 also, got a few questions regarding the functions:
1) can i independently choose to open either left gate, right gate, or both at the same time?
2) can the system connect and control the gate pillar light? i want to on/off it based on time, e.g. from 7pm to 7am
3) are all the functions listed in the website page (1st picture below) available as part of the standard package? or some are optional?
4) are all the accessories shown in the website (wireless keypad, IR beam, remote control - 2nd picture below) part of the standard package? or some are optional?

thanks

Thanks for the info. About the IR sensor, is it just to detect obstruction in order to stop the gate from hitting the car? From your experience, is it really necessary? And if yes, how much extra will it cost?

Also for the other optional items, which one is recommended and how much will be the extra cost?

BTW just to confirm, the wireless main keypad and the 4-button remote is standard set items right?

IR is to prevent gate from closing when someone or something in between sensor. It's not necessary and u will need ready wiring from junction to motor area.

Optional item our customer add on is the additional autolock to hold gate together when fully close to prevent ppl from easily pull open the gate.

Indoor wireless wall push button and hand remote are std in the system package.

Thanks. About the autolock, is it needed to have additional wire ready as well?

If I'm getting the contractor to get the armoured cable ready, is a 7-core cable sufficient?

Normal model arm screw type
Dnor
712 use allen key to free arm if got problem with system RM1,180/=
212 same as 712
212K with key release to free gear if system got problem RM1,500/=
Turbo 880 RM1,580/= might go up in price next week due to currency exchange for part from over sea.
Hi,

Comparing 212K and 880 which is around the same price range, how do we decide which one to go for? Is it based on the type of gate? Or both got some slightly different functions and features? Pros and cons?

Thanks

is it required to change the lead acid battery on regular basis? say once a year or so? to avoid any issues related to the battery e.g. leaking or corroded terminals

thanks

the string on this remote seems a bit fragile to be fixed onto a keychain together with the other keys. is there anyway to change the casing or to have a cover with a stronger chain?

thanks

Planning to install a Tuya wifi module for the Dnor 880 system.

Referring to the picture below,

1) If I just get a 1 channel wifi module, shall I connect it to the connector as in the yellow box? Will it controls both opening and closing?

2) Also from the wifi module connectors, there's this NC, COM, and NO. Shall I use NC or NO?

3) And for the power supply to the wifi module, shall I connect it to the connector in the red box or pink box?

4) The power supply here is AC right? Meaning the wifi module has to be AC type as well ya?

Thanks
